Prabhakar: I Didn’t Sign Any Films After Baahubali, They Were Mostly Cameos

After starring in the super blockbuster movie, Baahubali , actor Prabhakar’s demand in Tollywood increased. The actor had been approached for many film projects however, he was very fastidious in choosing the scripts. And it seems his particularity landed him in the Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer Jai Simha.

In the film, Prabhakar was seen stepping into the role of an antagonist. Moreover, expressing his gratitude towards the film’s director K.S. Ravi Kumar, the actor said, “After Baahubali I got many roles, but they were mostly cameos, so I didn’t sign any. I am now choosing my roles and hope that after this success, I will get some more prominent ones”.

Further, talking about how he landed in this role, Prabhakar further revealed that the director had taken several tests before selecting him to play the villain’s character. He said, “Initially, he thought I looked too young. Only once the make-up test was done did the director feel that I was fit for the role. That’s how I got this big break”. Jai Simha got released recently and it has received a good response at the box office.
