Sanjjanaa To Star In ‘Vasavadatta’

Actress and model Sanjjanaa is known to have starred in movies such as Yamaho Yama, Dandupalya 2 and Bujjugadu. The actress shot to fame with Sandalwood movie Ganda Hendathi. Filmmaker Mahadevan has roped in the actress in an upcoming movie titled as ‘Vasavadatta’.

The filmmaker has previously worked in movies such as Kaanakombathu and My Dear Mummy. Regarding her role in the movie, the actress said, “I am very excited to play this role of a mythological character. There is a lot of mystery surrounding her and that is what piqued my interest”.

The actress further added, “This film is going to be shot in the backdrops of the forts of Rajasthan, Halebeedu, Mysuru, etc”. The filmmaker also talked about the movie saying, “We are looking at capturing the life and times of Vasavadatta in a positive tone. The initial plan was to make it a bilingual in Kannada and Malayalam, but the subject is such that it will appeal to other audiences as well, so we decided to include Tamil, Telugu and Hindi as well, all of which will be shot simultaneously”.
