Naomie Harris makes confession about her tough time playing Nelson Mandela`s former wife

Skyfall actress Naomie Harris has admitted that she faced a struggling time while filming Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. She has played Nelson Mandela`s former wife, Winnie Mandela in the film.

As confessed by the 37-year-old actress, reading about Winnie and knowing about her from other people were completely two different experiences for her. She put together two different notions about the same lady at the same time. As director Justin Chadwick had a determined conviction about how he wants to show Winnie in the film, Naomie claimed that she was completely worn out and in the midst of a conflict. Harris also divulged that when she personally visited the South African activist she was quite confident that she would be able to put all the fragments of her character together, but it didn’t happen in reality. Harris also revealed that Winnie was a complicated person during the meeting but since she was supposed to play her character, Winnie showed belief in her about the portrayal.
