WATCH: Akshay Kumar Is 'Bloody' Brilliant In The Absorbing Trailer Of Padman!

The trailer of one of the most awaited upcoming films of 2018 is here. Yes, we are talking about Akshay Kumar starrer  Padman , the trailer of which has just come out.

The trailer shows a short glimpse into the life of a real-life Indian superhero, who is referred to as Padman. The reason- he is worried about the menstrual hygiene of women in his village even though the women themselves are ashamed to talk about it. He is that man who gifts sanitary napkins to his sisters on Rakhi and makes sure that his wife is healthy in 'those' days.

Akshay Kumar looks convincing, as usual in the trailer. He plays a simpleton who loves his wife and the women in his life and wants to bring a healthy change in their lives. He can go to any extent to help them out even though they themselves do not want it as much. He even goes to the extent of wearing the pad himself to check the comfort, when all other women refuse to help him.

We loved Radhika Apte in the film. Her chemistry with Akshay Kumar looks good and believable.

But we were definitely most excited to see Sonam Kapoor after a long gap. She was last seen in 2016's hit Neerja .She plays a woman who helps Padman spread the word about menstrual hygiene and helps him manufacture low-cost sanitary napkins.

Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice to the film. The film is based on the real-life story of  Arunachalam Muruganantham who became a hero after creating revolutionary low-cost sanitary napkins for his wife and other women in his village.
