WATCH: Video Surfaces Showing Ben Affleck Getting Frisky With TV Host
A TV host involved in a resurfaced video in which Ben Affleck could be seen behaving inappropriately, has said that she was “not a victim.”
The incident took place 13 years ago, when Affleck was promoting his 2014 film, Jersey Girl. In the video, the star is noticeably slurring his speech, and for close to five minutes, forcing Anne-Marie Losique to sit in his lap, talking about her breasts, and even suggesting she bare them in front of the camera.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Losique said, “This was for the camera. You have to understand that we have done dozens and dozens of interviews like that.”
“It was for a show I was producing, so I was not at all a victim. When the cameras rolled, we would start to do that game. As soon as it stopped rolling, there was none of that. He never touched me in any improper way. He was very respectful, I must say.”
The interview resurfaced after Affleck condemned disgraced Hollywood producer, Harvey Weinstein’s sexual misconduct. A series of exposes published by the New York Times and New Yorker quoted several first hand accounts of Weinstein’s harassment and assault.
Losique said she has just been caught in the crossfire. “I can’t say I am thrilled to have that interview mixed in with the other stories because I don’t think that is at all the same thing,” she said. However, she does remember being invited to Weinstein’s suite once, and claims to have been aware of his reputation.
Earlier this week, Affleck apologised to TV presenter Hilarie Burton, who said that the actor had groped her live on camera years ago. On Thursday, another accuser stepped forward, claiming that Affleck groped her in 2014.
