Anirudh Ravichander Replaced By Yuvan Shankar Raja For Maari 2

Dhanush’s Maari 2, which is a sequel to 2015 film Maari, has been grabbing headlines for quite some time now. A couple of days ago it was reported that Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas will be making his Tamil debut with the movie. He will be playing a baddie.

And now we have another piece of information to share with you. If you are thinking Anirudh Ravichander, who compose music for the first part, will compose for the sequel too, then you are wrong. The second part will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

According to reports, Balaji Mohan, the director of the film, was desperately trying to get Anirudh on board to render tunes, but he refused to do Maari 2 due to his personal reasons with Dhanush. Apart, Balaji recently confirmed on Twitter that actor Krishna has also been approached for an important role in the film. Krishna was last seen in the film Pandigai, which was directed by Feroz. Maari 2 will have actress Sai Pallavi playing the female lead.
