Karuppan To Release In September?

Actor Vijay Sethupathi is on a roll these days. The year has proved to be a profitable one for him. Two of his flicks that released in July, Kavan and Vikram Vedha, raked in huge amount and fared well at the box-office. The actor is now gearing up for his next release, Puriyadha Pudhir, which is all set to hit the theaters on September 1.

If latest reports are anything to go by, his upcoming film Karuppan will also release in September. Helmed by R. Panneerselvam, the flick also stars Bobby Simha and Tanya in the leading roles. Talking to DC, Paneer Selvam said, “We have completed the dubbing yesterday and we are planning to release the film in the first week of September. Looking at the output, we are confident that Karuppan would receive positive feedback”.

He further added that audience will get to see a different Vijay through this flick. He said, “Audiences can see Vijay Sethupathi’s new dimension through this flick. As reported earlier, Bobby Simhaa plays the villain and his performance will take everyone by surprise. He has portrayed the character with ease”.

On a related note, the flick stars Tanya Ravichandran of Brindavanam fame as the female lead.
