Nene Raju, Nene Mantri song: Rana Daggubati is Jogendra, the messiah of the masses
After Rana’s menacing act as Bhallaladeva in Baahubali and as a righteous Lt. Commander Arjun Verma in The Ghazi Attack, he will be seen playing a politician called Jogendra in Nene Raju, Nene Mantri.
The theme song of Jogendra was released on Tuesday and going by lyrics, it talks about the character in detail. He is revered as the messiah of the masses and his rise as a politician. The visuals of the song give us a glimpse of the people around Jogendra, including his wife Radha, played by Kajal Aggarwal and other important characters.
Talking about the film, slated for release on August 11, Rana had said that it’s going to be compelling and thought-provoking, and it has been made by Teja with sheer brilliance. The film also stars Catherine Tresa as one of the leading ladies while Ashutosh Rana will be seen playing the antagonist. Apparently, Teja had been waiting for nearly two years to make this project with Rana, who was busy juggling between Baahubali and other commitments. It is believed that Catherine, last seen in Arya’s forest-based thriller Kadamban, plays a character with negative shades in the film.
Produced by Suresh Babu, the film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Talking about the project, producer Suresh had said, “After listening to Teja’s script, I felt that it will be a character which will present Rana in a whole new avatar with immense diversity.” While the film is titled Naan Aanaiyitaal in Tamil, it’s titled Raja Kireedam in Malayalam.
