Bhumi Padnekar Is All Praise For Akshay Kumar

Her impeccable performance in her debut film, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, which starred her opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, was loved by all.  Can you guess who we are talking about? Well, we are talking about Bhumi Padnekar, who is returning to silver screen after two years.

Though her debut film won her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, but, Bhumi was not seen in any movie post Dum Laga Ke Haisha. However, now the actress will be seen with one of the biggest superstars of the country, Akshay Kumar in her next Toilet – Ek Prem Katha. The talented actress started working on the film only last year as she was busy losing her weight she gained for her debut movie. Bhumi says that she does not haste in picking up projects just to stay in the limelight.

About her experience of working with Akshay, Bhumi says, “Akshay Sir is brilliant. He is just outstanding. He is so punctual. He is extremely professional. He does not try to intimate you, or throw his weight around. He talks to you like a friend. Akshay Sir comes down to your level. His only focus is on making a brilliant film. You can learn so much from him. I have utmost respect for him as an actor and colleague.”

She further adds, “The way in which he behaves with people. He is a great example for any newcomer. The manner in which he interacts with every person from the crew is so heart-warming.” Well, when it comes social cause, then Akshay remains at the forefront. Since every actor who works in a film which is based on some casue becomes an inspiration, therefore when asked from Bhumi whether she considers herself as an inspiration since Toilet – Ek Prem Katha is based on a social cause, she said, “I guess so. Anybody who does anything for society and the country is an inspiration for us. I feel as a society and individual we need to owe up.”
