Never Imagined I Would Work With Akshaye Khanna, He's Very Dignified And Focused: Sridevi

Ravi Udyawar’s upcoming thriller ‘Mom’ will feature Sridevi, and her co-star and late actor Vinod Khanna’s son Akshaye Khanna, among several others. Recently, the English Vinglish actress revealed that she had never imagined sharing the screen space with Akshaye. The flick is slated for release tomorrow, the 7th of July.

In an interview, Sridevi said, “I used to meet Akshaye on the sets of 'Chandni' while working with Vinod Khanna, but I never imagined that I would ever work with him”. The actress added, “He (Akshaye) is a focussed and dignified actor, and you come across only a very few actors like him. It was wonderful to work with him”.

‘Mom’, based on mother-daughter relationship, is about the efforts a mother puts in to keep her children happy. The movie also stars Abhimanyu Singh, Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in lead roles. In addition, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in a special appearance playing a key role.

Talking about she is as a mother off screens, Sridevi stated, “I am not possessive, but a very protective mother. Me and my daughters are more like friends, so we share and discuss everything”. On a related note, the flick has been produced by the actress’ husband Boney Kapoor.
