Tabu to reunite with Narayani Shastri on the TV show Chakravyuh
After working together in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Chandni Bar (2001), Tabu might work with actor Narayani Shastri again. But this time it’s for the upcoming small screen fiction, Chakravyuh. Tabu’s role on the show will be a cameo, but an important one, that will add to the plot. The actor had reportedly liked the concept.
“Yes Tabu has been approached to play a cameo in Chakravyuh. She has liked her role and has shown interest. If she says yes then she will play the role of Narayani’s elder sister on the show,” says a source close to the unit.
Narayani plays a mother in Chakravyuh. The name of her character is Satrupa. Actor Mahima Makwana of Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke fame plays her daughter on the show that highlights a bitter sweet mother-daughter relationship. The show questions why sons are usually given priority over daughters. Sangita Ghosh plays the main antagonist in the fiction.
Tabu is currently busy with Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 4. She is expected to sign the deal within this month if her dates work out. “Tabu is interested in doing the show if things fall in place. And if that happens then she will start shooting for it early July,” adds the source.
Chakravyuh is expected to go on air on July 24. The show will replace Mere Angne Mein.
