Jennifer Garner Reveals Babysitting Stephen Colbert's Daughter

Actress Jennifer Garner appeared as the special guest on Friday night's ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’. She was here to promote her recent film, ‘Wakefield’. During the show, the 45-year-old actress also revealed that she used to babysit Colbert's daughter Madeline when she was an aspiring actress.

The two reminisced how they met in 1996. At the time, Colbert and his wife Evelyn McGee-Colbert required someone who could take care of their daughter. It was then when they offered Jennifer some childcare work in between her auditions for roles.

Colbert spoke to Jennifer on the show, “Then one day you came and you said, ‘I got a new agent and I'm moving to Los Angeles’. And we said, ‘That poor thing’ because you were so nice, you are so nice... We thought, ‘Los Angeles will devour her’”. Jennifer replied, “And it did. It did, yes it devoured me, but I'm okay. I'm all right”.

Stephen also divulged that he was amazed to see the actress on the cover of TV Guide after she got the lead role in ‘Alias’. He also brought a copy and showed that to his wife. On a related note, Jennifer has three children with estranged husband Ben Affleck.
