Akshaye Khanna To Play Negative Role In 'Mom'
Last seen in ‘Dishoom’ playing the role of a cricket bookie, Akshaye Khanna will once again be seen essaying a grey character. According to recent reports, the Hungama actor has been roped in to play the antagonist in Ravi Udyawar’s ‘Mom’. The upcoming thriller stars Sridevi, Abhimanyu Singh, Sajal Ali, Adnan Siddiqui and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
“It's a career milestone to work with the one and only Sridevi and Nawaz, who is one of the finest actors we have today. Being part of this film was an enriching experience”, Akshaye was quoted as saying. We must say that Akshaye is one of the most versatile actors industry has. He has tickled the funny bones in movies such as ‘Hulchul’ and ‘Mere Baap Pehle Aap’, touched several hearts in ‘LOC Kargil’ and ‘Gandhi, My Father’, gave friendship a new definition in ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, and played negative roles in ‘Humraaz’ and ‘Race’.
On a related note, music for ‘Mom’ has been rendered by AR Rahman. The film has been bankrolled by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor and Sunil Manchanda's Mad Films in association with Thirdeye Pictures. The flick is scheduled for release on July 7 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
