With Rs 1,000 Crore Budget, This Will Be India’s Most Expensive Film Ever

From last few days, rumours of a film on Mahabharata being made were surfacing and finally it has been confirmed. Yes, you heard that right! A film on Mahabharata will be made soon with the superstars of different industry. The confirmation came in the wake of a press release by a billionaire businessman from UAE, Dr B.R. Shetty, who announced that he will make the magnum opus film.

The bizman will invest Rs 1,000 crore on this project, which will make it India’s most expensive film ever. The press release read that the project will be helmed by V.A. Shrikumar. As far as cast is concerned, only Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has been zeroed in for the role of Bheema. Others will be finalized soon.

Apart from taking stars from different industries, the epic project will be released in English, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and other Indian and foreign languages. Malayalam novel, Randamoozham, written by M.T. Vasudevan Nair, is the source of inspiration for the flick. Writer Vasudevan has also been officially roped in for the project.
