Game of Thrones season 7: The first glorious new promo is finally here

It’s the battle for the Iron Throne in Westeros so you better take a seat, just like Cersei, Jon and Daenerys do in the new promo for Game of Thrones season 7.

In an exciting new teaser released for the superhit HBO fantasy show, the three lead characters are seen walking with a determined expression on their faces and a confident gait to their own thrones.

Cersei (Lena Headey) takes the Iron Throne, Jon (Kit Harington) is still in the North and the whereabouts of Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) seat is unknown. The last time we saw her, she was leaving Essos for Westeros with her massive fleet of ships with Tyrion Lannister by her side.

The crisp, short teaser (1 min 30 seconds) ends with Cersei releasing a cold breath that forms the eye of a White Walker. Will the winter reach King’s Landing too this season?

The show will air much later than its usual release time, on July 16. The filming of the show got delayed because the crew could not shoot sequences of winter in locations where actual winter arrived rather late.

The new season will have only seven episodes against the usual 10.
