Lego Batman Way Ahead Of Great Wall, Fist Fight
Taking on two big releases, in Fifty Shades Darker and The Great Wall, The Lego Batman Movie, has done incredibly well at the box office all around the world. The movie has already garnered about $44 million this President’s Day weekend. Now, this is almost Fifty Shades Darker and The Great Wall, in total.
On the other side, Lionsgate’s second weekend of John Wick: Chapter 2 is running strong at fourth position with $19.5 million at 3,113 venues. Talking about New Line’s opening of high school comedy Fist Fight did modest business with around $14 million at 3,185 locations.
Coming back to Lego Batman, Warner Bros.’ spinoff of 2014’s The Lego Movie, is running 4,088 sites and will wind up the weekend with more than $108 million in its first 11 days. The movie opened up a modest $4.9 million at 2,704 screens as it was estimated to finish 11th.
