Mahira Khan Joins Raees Team For Promotion Through Video Call, Gets Candid About Ban Being Lifted In Pakistan

Mahira Khan makes her Bollywood debut with the recently released film ‘Raees’ where she shares screen space with Shah Rukh Khan. Since the ‘Pakistani actor’s being banned in Bollywood debacle’, it has become quite hard for people like Fawad Khan, Mahira and various other celebrities of Pakistani nationality. This also lead to the ban of Bollywood films in Pakistan. Now that this ban has been lifted, the ‘Raees’ team got together for some promotion and also brought Mahira along, though, she was present through a video call.

Mahira was asked how she feels now that the ban has been lifted, to which she gave a totally candid reply stating, “You have no idea how much we wanted to get films back here. Raees is a big one. I was getting calls every day. Everyone’s waiting. You can’t even imagine. If you were here you would see how many calls I get asking is it coming. So I think just like it’s done well all over the world, hopefully, they will go in storms to watch it”.

The actress sounded and looked quite happy as now, her family and friends will be able to see her debut Bollywood film and how she performed. ‘Raees’ has been directed by Rahul Dholakia and was released on January 25, alongside Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’. The SRK starrer has earned more than Rs. 115 crore since its release.
