Guess Which Actor Is Lending His Support In Road Safety Campaign?
The 28th year of the Road Safety Week starts today, January 9 and will continue till January 22. On this occasion, to promote safety and initiate the first bike rally of the Road Safety Week, Ranveer Singh got on the roads. Yesterday, January 8, the 31-year-old star, along with Thane Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, joint transport commissioner P. V. Mahajan and deputy RTOs Hemangi Patil and Shyam Lohi, urged people to wear helmets and follow traffic rules.
Several surveys have calculated the road accident statistics in India. According to these surveys, there is one death in every 4 minutes due to a road accident in India. With an initiative to make the scenario slightly better, Ranveer asserted, “Follow traffic regulations strictly because carelessness can lead to the loss of lives. We need strict road discipline for reduction in the number of accidents and their resultant deaths.”
Ranveer made the entire campaign a fun. He made the cops dance with him on 'Malhari' from 'Bajirao Mastani' and also posed for his fans along with his father Jagjit Singh Bhavnani. Bollywood’s biggie Amitabh Bachchan also stood up for the social call. Today, January 9, Big B promoted the digitization of the transport systems. He spoke about e-challans during a visit to the Mumbai's CCTV monitoring office.
