Wedding Bells! Singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi To Tie Knot Soon

Singer and instrument player Vaikom Vijayalakshmi shot to fame with peppy numbers. The playback singer is all set to get united into wedlock. She will tie the knot with music lover Santhosh, who is settled in Bahrain and works in the hospitality industry.

The noted singer will marry the Thrissur Kunnathangadi-native on March 29, next year. The wedding ceremony will be held at Vaikkom Mahadeva temple between 9 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. The two will get betrothed on December 14.

Vijayalakshmi’s father Muraleedharan has told that it was the response received from the matrimonial advertisement published in Mathrubhumi that helped find the bridegroom. The 35-year-old singer ventured into singing career with the critically acclaimed biographical Malayalam film ‘Celluloid’. The visually challenged star has worked with composers like M Jayachandran, Ouseppachan, Santhosh Narayanan and Yuvan Shanker Raja. She has crooned for over 30 South Indian films including ‘Baahubali’, ‘Cuckoo’, ‘Theri’ and ‘Idam Porul Yaeval’.
