After delivering many superhits together, the most celebrated on screen pairing, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, teamed up again after twelve years and delivered critically as well as box-office hit, My Name Is Khan in 2010. They again coupled for Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale, however, the flick failed at box-office.

Now, the director has opened up about the flick in an interview with Komal Nahta. He said that he changed the original script of Dilwale for Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol fans. He said, “Dilwale is the only film I have made without sincerity, yet. I got intimidated by the need to cater to Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s massive fan following”.

He added, “The initial film was to be a tri-hero project about three brothers and Kajol’s track was to be of a mere four to five scenes. This change was also by my own willful voluntariness. We went wrong with it, in the process”. He further added that his friends and family also complained that the flick was not his brand of film that they watch. Dilwale released on December 23, 2015.
