I Felt Like I Knew This Girl From Before: Kiara Advani Talks About Sakshi Dhoni

The soon-to-be-released biopic of Team India’s Cricket Captain, MS Dhoni, is grabbing many headlines recently. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput as Dhoni and Kiara Advani as Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni. On the latest front, Kiara in an interview said that Sakshi is very grounded and helpful.

The Fugly actor said that research for the flick was very easy as Sakshi herself helped her to prepare for the role. She added, “I read a lot of interviews of MSD talking about Sakshi, saw photos of her at the matches and partying with friends. (Also) Sushant shared some voice tapes of Sakshi talking about her relationship with MS and how they met. Once I heard those, I already was half way there”.

Kiara was overwhelmed when she spoke to Sakshi over the phone. The 23-year-old actor said, “She (Sakshi) was so approachable and grounded. I felt like I knew this girl from before. She was like any other young girl in her 20s, totally unfazed by all the hype that surrounds her. I wanted to connect with her, understand her, how she thought, felt and bring out those traits in my character”.

It seems like Kiara is in awe of MS Dhoni’s wife.
