Lata Mangeshkar To Sing A Song In 'Padmavati'?

Ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced to make a period drama, there have been new updates about the upcoming flick, ‘Padmavati’, every now and then. From deciding upon the cast to Deepika Padukone’s pay cheque for the movie, we’ve read it all. Bhansali's next directorial is based on the life of Queen of Chittorgarg, Rani Padmini aka Padmavati.  

As it was finalised that our very own Bollywood’s Mastani will play the female lead, Shahid Kapoor recently was roped in to portray the lead character’s husband in the flick. As per the latest development, Bhansali is keen to bring on board the renowned singer Lata Mangeshkar for his next directorial. The director wants her to sing a song in the movie. However, it is not confirmed whether Lata has given a nod.

Reports further added that it is dream of the Devdas director to make Lata sing for his film. It is a known fact that Bhansali has always been a passionate fan of Lata Mangeshkar’s singing. Well, we wish his dream comes true.
