Well! ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Is About To End?

The American supernatural drama television series, ‘The Vampire Diaries’, is coming to an end. The CW announced that the hit series' upcoming eighth season will be its last. The first series of this show was premiered on September 10, 2009.

First, Kat Graham who plays ‘Bonnie Bennett’ confirmed weeks ago that she would be departing the drama following Season 8. Later, Ian Somerhalder revealed in April that the team behind the show had decided to produce 'one last season.' It is definitely a heart-wrecking announcement for the fans of this high-rated program.

The program is based on the popular book series with an identical name, ‘The Vampire Diaries’, written by L. J. Smith. "For the past seven years, you've invited us into your homes," the cast of the series said in a goodbye video posted to YouTube. "We've gotten to know each other. We've become friends. We've become a family. And we've fallen madly in love."

The final season of 'The Vampire Diaries' premieres October 21 at 8 p.m. on The CW. Finale date for the series is yet to be announced soon.
