Sunidhi Chauhan Is All Set for Her Acting Debut with ‘Playing Priya’
Bollywood Singer Sunidhi Chauhan is all set to make her acting debut with Arif Ali's short film, ‘Playing Priya’. Sharing her excitement about the new venture, Sunidhi said that the experience of facing the camera was “awesome.” Sunidhi also added, “I always wanted to act but never thought that I would enjoy it so much. The whole experience was just awesome”.
The 32-year old singer will be seen playing a role of bored housewife in the fantasy thriller. Arif Ali, who earlier made his directorial debut with ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’, narrated the idea to Suinidhi, knowing her fascination with dark, twisted characters. Speaking about Sunidhi’s acting skills, Ali said, “She was a complete natural. She has given 20 years to singing. If she concentrates a bit on acting too and gives it a few years, she can be a full-fledged actor. She has a bright career as an actor”.

The singer, who started recording for Bollywood films at the age of 13, plays a role of a bored housewife who get down to her routine chores when the family members are away. But with the house all to herself, she begins amusing herself by having some alone time fun, when suddenly there is a break in and she must do her best to protect herself. The film is produced by digital content studio, Humaramovie, which will be released on digital platform soon.
