Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt Are Absolute Fits For Aashiqui 3: Mukesh Bhatt

Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial Aashiqui (1990), which featured Rahul Roy, Anu Aggarwal and Deepak Tijori in significant roles, was regarded as the most profound love story of the 90s. In 2013, Mohit Suri’s Aashiqui 2, starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, turned to be another heart touching story of Hindi cinema. Over three years since then, the next instalment of the romantic franchise is being touted to be bigger and better.

The third iteration had been grabbing attention of the media since long for its casting. Earlier, Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut were reported to be pairing up for the flick. But now, the roles have been grabbed by alleged lovers, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.

Revealing about the same to a media agency, producer Mukesh Bhatt stated, "Yes, it is true. We have signed Sidharth and Alia for the film. They completely fit the role. When we make films we look for the perfect casting. They both fit the bill”.

The first two instalments also garnered praises for their music and songs. Aashiqui 2’s Tum Hi Ho, crooned by Arijit Singh, became the biggest hit single of 2013. Let’s wait to see if the third instalment will create the same magic among lovers as was created by the first two.
