Marvel’s Head Kevin Feige Wants Standalone Black Widow Movie

Captain America: Civil War has recently hit the screens all around the world and the film is already taking the theatres by storm. Marvel Studios, which already has projects planned till 2020, has recently revealed that they are mulling the idea of adding a standalone black widow movie to their list. In an interview with Deadline, the studio’s head Kevin Feige, revealed that the film with Scarlett Johansson might happen soon.

He has been quoted as saying, “We've announced the next nine movies, ten counting Civil War, through the end of 2019. Where we go beyond that are ongoing discussions that we'll focus on in the next few years because we have a lot to do before then”.

He added, “Of the characters that you've just mentioned I would say certainly the one creatively and emotionally that we are most committing to doing is Black Widow”, and added, “We think she's an amazing character. We think Scarlett Johansson's portrayal of her is amazing. She's a lead Avenger and has amazing stories in her own right to tell that we think would be fun to turn into a standalone franchise”. Meanwhile, the excitement level of the audience has been raised with the announcement.
