Kamal Haasan’s ‘Thoongavanam’ To Be Remade In Hindi
Kamal Haasan’s ‘Thoongavanam’ released last month and did a decent business at the box office. The action-thriller was appreciated by the audience and the cast was praised for its acting skills. Now, it is being said that the film will be remade in Hindi.
According to reports, producer Sunil Khetarpal is keen to make the film. The Papanasam actor cleared that it’s not his film that is being remade in Hindi, he said, “I’d like to correct you. It’s not Thoonga Vanam that’s being remade into Hindi. It’s the French film Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Night) that is being remade into Hindi. My Thoonga Vanam is a remake of the same French film. I had offered to make a simultaneous Hindi version for the Bollywood producer who owns the rights of the Hindi remake. But I think he wanted to make it with some top Bollywood star”.
Reportedly, the produce now wants to cast Kamal Haasan in the lead role for the film. If the reports turn out to be true, then the actor will be seen after a long time in a Bollywood flick. We will have to wait until an official announcement is made.
