Conscious Or Semiconscious, Nawazuddin Siddiqui Remains In Character

Gangs of Wasseypur actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was admitted in a hospital last week due to high fever, body ache and a sore throat. It was reported that the actor was mouthing dialogues from his current project while he was in a semiconscious state. Nawaz is known for his dedication to a role but this was a whole new level of immersion.

According to an insider, “Since he was shooting for Anurag’s (Kashyap; director) film at that time, he was still in character. So, in a semiconscious state he started mouthing his dialogues from the film”. The insider added, “Even other patients in the ward were shocked, since they hadn’t seen anything like that before. After an initial check-up, Nawaz was shifted to a separate room in the hospital”.

It was rumoured that Nawaz had dengue but these rumours were negated by the insider. The 41-year-old actor has been discharged from the hospital and will be resting for a few days. Nawaz stated, “I had a throat infection, so I was hospitalised. But now, I am feeling much better. I will resume work soon”.
