Chimbu Deven Speaks On ‘Puli’ Being Compared To ‘Baahubali’
Vijay’s much awaited movie ‘Puli’ has been compared to the magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ even before its release. The audience has sited similarities between the two, as both are period films. The S.S. Rajamouli directorial amazed the audiences with its great VFX and the trailers of the Chimbu Deven directorial also show splendid special effects.
However, the director of the upcoming film says that the two films should not be compared. In an interview to an online entertainment portal he said, “Such comparisons are made in social media. Please don’t compare ‘Puli’ with ‘Baahubali’. Every film will have its difference mainly in its basic story line. Especially ‘Puli’ does not have war sequences. In this film, the entertainment factor of this story will be in a different format”.
He added that if the audiences enter the theatres without any expectations, his film will be of complete satisfaction. Earlier, Sridevi and Hansika Motwani also said that it is unfair to compare the two films. The Tamil fantasy-adventure is slated for an October 1 release, let’s see how well it does at the box office.
