Lakshmi Menon Not to Play Ghost in Sakthi Soundarajan’s Next

Lakshmi Menon will not be playing a ghost in her forthcoming film that is yet to receive a title. Rumours had surfaced that the movie would be a horror flick with Lakshmi as a ghost. But, director Sakthi Soundarajan - known for his films Naanayam and Naaigal Jaakiradhai - has negated these rumours.

Recently, the director told IANS, “Ours is not a horror film. Lakshmi is not playing a ghost. All I can say right now is that she’ll be seen in a very different avatar. I can’t divulge more information”. According to some other reports, Sakthi revealed that Lakshmi will be playing a normal village girl and the movie is in no way a horror movie.

The first schedule for the film has been shot in Ooty. The remaining film will be shot in Hyderabad and Chennai. Sakthi also said that baby Ankitha, who earlier appeared in Yennai Arindhaal, will also be present in the film and her character will change the dynamics of the story.
