Riteish Deshmukh: Not Expecting Bangistan to Touch Rs. 100 crores

Riteish Deshmukh recently revealed that he isn’t expecting Bangistan to mint Rs. 100 crores. He further said that the film will be successful, despite its box office collection. The upcoming comedy satire film is all set to the hit the theatres on July 31.

Riteish Deshmukh told IANS, “When you sign a film, you are aware what range the film can touch. If you do Housefull and Grand Masti and they collect Rs 100 crores, you can expect the next one to do similar business. But when we do Bangistan, we're not expecting the film to touch Rs 100 crores because for this film to be successful, it doesn't need to reach that figure. Every film has a budget and a certain target audience in mind and the Rs 100-crore mark is not necessary for every film to be successful”.

Karan Anshuman is making his directorial debut with this film. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Bangistan stars Riteish Deshmukh, Pulkit Samrat and Chandan Roy Sanyal in lead roles. Jacqueline Fernandez is playing a cameo role in the film.
