Filmy Friday: Gabbar is Back opens to a welcoming response

With so many Hindi box office Fridays going totally unyielding, while the hopes were tremendously high for this week’s release, Akshay Kumar’s Gabbar is Back seems to have come in the mood of delivering. The action masala film has opened to a welcoming note all across the country.

Directed by Krish, Gabbar is Back which is the remake of Tamil hit Ramanaa and is widely expected to be a massy affair. Without disrupting the mathematics of all trade pundits, the film has opened to good occupancy across the theatres and is looking quite strong. The Akshay Kumar starrer is featuring best in mass centres and is apparently emerging as one of the biggest openers this year.

The reviews have been ranging from average to good. While the class loving critics are not favouring this massy affair, the initial word of mouth is encouraging. Let’s see how the film shapes up through the weekend.
