Sushant Singh Rajput wants to explore new avenues in acting
Sushant Singh Rajput -best known for starring in hits films such as PK and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy - says, he wants to explore new avenues in acting. After receiving rave reviews of PK and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, Sushant Singh is gearing up for the biopic on Indian cricket team captain, M.S. Dhoni. The actor is also looking forward to work with ace director Shekhar Kapur in Paani.
On the good box office collection of his latest film, the 29-year-old actor said, "When director Dibakar Banerjee narrated me the orthodox character of the detective Byomkesh Bakshy. I was both excited and taken aback because reinventing a period character is a great challenge but fortunately our experiment has yield rich dividends". When quizzed about the developments on Shekhar Kapur’s Paani, the actor said, "Though the movie is in pipeline for many years and I am desperately seeking the movie to begin soon, nevertheless, whatever littler movements I have spent with Shekharji are my most cherished movements".
Clearly impressed by Shekhar Kapur, the actor went on to say, "Shekharji is a man of few words. In his company I have talked about everything in the world - filmmaking, acting, quantum physics, spirituality". Sushant has set his mind on doing good cinema. "I wish to focus on movies that have varied subjects and offer me an opportunity to do different characters”, he added.
