Jeetendra reveals how he missed a flight which crashed upon takeoff, wife Shobha Kapoor had insisted he should not go

Veteran Bollywood star Jeetendra graced The Kapil Sharma Show on Saturday with his daughter Ekta Kapoor. The actor shared a chilling tale about missing a flight from Mumbai to Chennai once and how the aircraft he was supposed to be on crashed upon takeoff.

Kapil Sharma, the host of the comedy show had asked Jeetendra during a segment about ‘rumours’ if he ever brings gifts for wife Shobha Kapoor on Karwa Chauth. It was in answer to this that Jeetendra shared an anecdote about how he was supposed to head to Chennai for a shoot once on Karwa Chauth when his wife was fasting for him. He revealed that Shobha Kapoor insisted that he should not go but he convinced her otherwise and arrived at the airport to catch his flight which was to leave around 8 PM.

There was a delay in the flight taking off by a few hours which is when Jeetendra called his wife to enquire if the moon had come out. He came back home which was not far away from the airport for this but Shobha convinced him that he can take a flight the next day instead of leaving late at night. The actor then called his makeup man at the airport and asked to not go too.

It was later that evening, Jeetendra saw smoke erupt from somewhere close to the airport from his terrace. He later discovered it was the flight he was supposed to be on which had crashed. He further revealed another actor from the project was on the flight.

Jeetendra’s story certainly stunned The Kapil Sharma Show audience to silence. He later added that it was incidents as such that make one believe in a higher power.
