Sooryavanshi song Tip Tip: Despite Katrina’s moves & chemistry with Akshay, the track is no match to Raveena’s iconic number

When it was announced that Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar will be recreating the iconic Tip Tip Barsa Paani track for their film Sooryavanshi, fans were over the moon with joy. Sizzling chemistry was a given because of the lead pair, and audiences were sure that the hook step would be a hit as well, as it has been choreographed by Farah Khan. But we also knew that it would be compared to the iconic original from Mohra starring Raveena Tandon. Well, the song is finally out and it has successfully raised the temperature.

Katrina looks drop dead gorgeous in a silver saree as she dances in the rain. Akshay aka Sooryavanshi, on the other hand, is dapper in an all black outfit. The beats are pretty much the same and so are the lyrics. So what is new? Well, Katrina’s sizzling moves are perfection and her expressions are on point. The music video has exceeded our expectations and we are sure most fans will watch it on loop. However, it does not have the same charm that the original had and does not match up to Raveena’s iconic number. As long as it is not compared to the 1994 song, it’s definitely a pretty good watch.

Also starring Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Ajay Devgn as Singham in pivotal roles, Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Sooryavanshi hit theatres on 5^th November. It has received mixed reviews from critics but has definitely emerged to be a mass entertainer, something that most fans expected from the filmmaker. The new Tip Tip is like a cherry on the delicious cake.
