Om: The Battle Within- Makers cancel international schedule after 18 crew members test positive for COVID-19

Back in February this year, makers of Om: The Battle Within dropped Aditya Roy Kapur’s first look as Om. The actor left us in awe with his chiseled physique and deadly expression. Also starring Dil Bechara actress Sanjana Sanghi in the lead, the action thriller is being directed by Kapil Verma and is being co-produced by Ahmed Khan. The shooting is almost complete and the team was all set to begin the international schedule in Russia. However, COVID-19 played a villain in the plan.

In a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed, “The entire cast of OM: The Battle Within was heading to Russia to shoot the film. The unit comprised of Aditya Roy Kapur, director Kapil Verma and producer Ahmed Khan and some other crew members, but 18 of the members were detected as Covid-19 positive and were rushed back to Mumbai.”

The source went on to add that the team had planned to shoot major action sequences in Russia, but with COVID-19 restrictions being rather stringent everywhere, they decided to cancel it. Makers are now going to film the action sequences in Mumbai. Well, shooting of films has been quite difficult in the past one year due to the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, many release dates of upcoming projects have also been pushed indefinitely.
