Rekha paid Rs. 5 crores for a promo to introduce a big twist in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin?

Rekha’s association with the TV show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin continues as the actress introduced a twist in the tale in the newest promo of the show. The actress who introduced the show through various promos at the very onset in October got the daily soap a lot of attention.

The veteran actress gave voice to Virat’s dilemma as the show goes through some big changes in the plot. "Yeh ishq bhi kaise kaise imtihaano se guzarta hai. Jo kal tak sirf ek farz tha, aaj mohabbat ban chuka hai...Aise mein ateet aandhi ban ke laut aaye toh, murjhaye hue lamhon ki yaadein taaza ho jaati hain. Na chahte hue bhi kal ka pyaar aaj ka farz ban gaya hai,” Rekha poetically says introducing the twist on this show about unrequited love.

Rekha might have a nostalgic connection with the show’s title which is borrowed from a song on her 1972 film Raampur Ka Lakshman but according to a Mid-Day report, the actress got a hefty paycheque for appearing in the promo. The report claims that Rekha was paid Rs. 5 crores as an appearance fee. The promo was shot in a Bandra-based hotel while the veteran actress dressed in a saree from her own collection and even did her own makeup.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin stars Neil Bhatt, Aishwarya Sharma, and Ayesha Singh in key roles.
