Sanjay Gupta ropes in Aditya Roy Kapur for Shootout 3: Gang Wars of Bombay?

Something new is brewing under Sanjay Gupta. The director was in news because of reportedly collaborating with Sanjay Dutt after years, but the latter clarified that it wasn't true. But one thing that is constantly being talked about is the third part of the Shootout franchise. It was being said that the maker was looking forward to the casting of the film, reportedly titled Shootout 3: Gang Wars of Bombay. Now, his search might have come to an end.

If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, then Aditya Roy Kapur has been cast as the lead for Shootout 3. A source was quoted saying, “It seems like Malang star Aditya Roy Kapur is in demand for action movies. Right after Malang, he signed OM: The Battle Within. Now we hear that the makers of the Shootout franchise have roped in Aditya Roy Kapur to headline the project. While his role details are kept under wraps, it surely is interesting to see him join the franchise.”

The film will apparently be based on the 1992 shootout at JJ Hospital, where members of Dawood Ibrahim’s and Arun Gawli’s gang had a face-off. There has been no official confirmation of the same.
