Vishal Dadlani Has No Plans To Return To Indian Idol 12 Till The Lockdown Is Lifted, Aditya Narayan Explains Why
Vishal Dadlani Has No Plans To Return To Indian Idol 12
The Covid-19 pandemic has made the appearance of Indian Idol 12 judges Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani, a rare occurrence. Since the shoot of the singing reality show moved based to Daman after a ban on shoots in Mumbai during the lockdown, Vishal has not been seen on the show at all.
The singer and music director has now said that he will remain absent from the show until the lockdown in Maharashtra state is lifted. Vishal has been judging the contestants on the show for the past three seasons.
Aditya Narayan, who is the host of the show, explained to ETimes the reason for Vishal's absence and said, "Vishal shifted to Lonavala last year and he has shifted with his parents. He didn’t want to drive all the way from Lonavala to Daman and come back to potentially infect his parents as he is being extra careful because of his parents. I completely support that. If you have doubt then you should go with your instincts especially during these times.''
Meanwhile, Neha and Himesh who have visited the show occasionally since Indian Idol 12 moved to Daman are reportedly missing due to their personal reasons.
In the absence of the three original judges, Anu Malik and Manoj Muntashir have taken charge instead. Indian Idol 12 has been running on television for over six months with the top nine contestants and no eliminations.
