It was on the 4th of April that Akshay Kumar, who was busy shooting for Ram Setu, had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. It was also reported that as many as 45 crew members of the film had also tested positive. The actor has also been admitted to the hospital the next day and he assured worried fans that it has just been a precautionary measure. But now, all his fans can finally heave a sigh of relief. The actor has now recovered from the virus.
The news comes not from Akshay himself but from his spouse Twinkle Khanna. The actress shared a post on her social media where she wrote, "Safe and sound and good to have him back around. #allizwell." See the post here:
Akshay Kumar took less than 10 days to recover and that is a great news. After Akshay had tested positive, his co-stars from Ram Setu- Nushrratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez were also kept at home quarantine. However, they soon tested negative for the virus. Akshay Kumar has been one of the busiest stars who has been working back-to-back ever since the shoots resumed post lockdown. He has already finished the shoot for Bell Bottom, Prithviraj, Atrangi Re and Bachchan Pandey. After wrapping up Ram Setu, the actor will begin work for Aanand L. Rai helmed Raksha Bandhan.
