Vidhu Vinod Chopra To Direct A Psychological Thriller Titled Baarish, Film Currently In Scripting Stage?

Vidhu Vinod Chopra had given us a film on the plight of the Kashmiri Pandits last year. Titled Shikara, it was loved by critics and audiences alike. Now, it looks like he is all set to get started on his tenth directorial venture. 

It was during a virtual session for the Jaipur Literature Festival 2021 that Vidhu Vinod Chopra gave away the information. In a conversation with Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) member Vani Tripathi Tikoo, Chopra revealed that his next directorial would be titled Baarish and that it would be so starkly different from his last directorial that no one would be able to believe that the same person can make both the films. A source additionally told Bollywood Hungama, “Baarish is a psychological thriller and from the plot, it sounds very exciting. And he has proved that he can handle thrillers well with films like Khamosh (1986), Parinda (1989), Mission Kashmir (2000) and Eklavya (2007). The film is still at the scripting stage. Vidhu Vinod Chopra will go ahead with the film only after the script is locked. Even the casting hasn’t been decided yet. So it’ll take a while for the film to go on floors and to ultimately release.”

Well, we would be waiting for it and we are impatient to learn about who Chopra would cast in this one!
