Shaheer Sheikh Admits That Only Eloping With Ruchikaa Kapoor Would Have Topped Their Intimate Court Wedding

Shaheer Sheikh was not so long ago one of TV’s most eligible bachelors but the actor pleasantly surprised fans as he announced his relationship and then marriage to Ruchikaa Kapoor in quick succession. While everyone takes time to process this big news the actor is enjoying marital bliss and shared that his wedding was everything he ever dreamt of.

Shaheer who had an intimate court wedding with Ruchikaa in November was recently asked in an interview with India Forums how he had originally imagined the whole thing playing out. The Paurashpur actor frankly admitted, “This was it, this is exactly how I dreamt of it, the only thing that could have topped this was that we could have eloped and gotten married. But I am very happy with the way things happened, I wanted to keep it personal and intimate, and that's how it happened.”

For the benefit of his friends and family, the actor added, “We will have a proper function in June, in the summers, in Jammu, for the relatives. All my friends want to visit my village, and that's why we've made this plan, there is still a lot of time, and winters are quite cold there, so that's the plan.”

Talking about reactions to his wedding the actor revealed that while he did surprise his friends and family with his decision he got a few bad reactions as well. Talking about the people who were offended by his decision he said, “I think if people understand me and they actually like me, they will understand my perspective in this and be happy in my happiness.”

On the work front, Shaheer will soon be seen in the web series Paurashpur which also stars Milind Soman, Anu Kapoor, and Shilpa Shinde among others. The series will hit Zee 5 on 29 December.
