Chupke Chupke Remake: Vicky Kaushal To Be Seen Alongside Rajkummar Rao, To Reprise Amitabh Bachchan's Role?
Vicky Kaushal Approached For Chukpke Chupke Remake?
It's not new to us that Chupke Chupke would be remade. The Hrishikesh Mukherjee film was a super-duper hit when it released and now, Rajkummar Rao would step into the shoes of Dharmendra. But, who would reprise Amitabh Bachchan's character? Now, we seem to have an answer.
If reports are to be believed, then Vicky Kaushal has been approached for the film. He would be reprising Amitabh Bachchan's role. A source quoted by Pinkvilla said, "The makers have offered the Chupke Chupke remake to Vicky Kaushal now. Although he is yet to sign on the dotted line, the producers felt he is the perfect choice to play Big B's role from the original. They feel he can portray the character and its nuances really well. Also, Rajkummar and Vicky have never shared screen space together and it will be a casting coup if it happens."
To see two of the most talented contemporary stars share screen space would be a delight for the audiences. We wonder who the female leads would be. The original Chupke Chupke released in 1975 and it became a super hit. Now, Bhushan Kumar and Luv Ranjan have bought the rights of the film for a remake. We hope an official confirmation comes out soon.
