Deepika Padukone's Phone Seized By NCB
The Narcotics Control Bureau’s drug probe is expanding with new names from Bollywood being summoned every now and then. After days of speculation, the NCB finally questioned Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and designer Simone Khambatta in the past few days in relation to the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
After hours of questioning each of them, reports that the central agency has seized the phones of each of them for further investigation. The phones will be sent for forensic examination. More names are likely to crop up after the NCB digs into the data.
Deepika, Sara and Shraddha were questioned over alleged consumption of drugs and their drug chats on Saturday. The Padmavat actress was confronted over alleged drug chats with her manager Karishma Prakash and the actress reportedly verified their 2017 conversation over which they were both summoned.
Shraddha and Sara have denied consuming drugs while Sushant’s Chhichore co-star admitted to chatting with the actor’s manager Jaya Saha.
Rakul Preet Singh and Simone Khambatta joined the NCB probe on Friday. Rakul has allegedly admitted to chating about drugs with actress Rhea Chakraborty and stated that any narcotic substances procured from her residence belong to Rhea who ordered and sent the drugs to her home.
No fresh summons have been issued to anyone of these celebrities yet.
