Dalljiet Kaur Mourns The Loss Of Two Friends- Sushant Singh Rajput And Kushal Punjabi; Opens Up About Nepotism

Dalljiet Kaur has seen quite a few ups and downs in her personal life, but for the sake of her son, she had decided to get back up and get going. The actress made a comeback to TV and was also a part of Bigg Boss 13 last year. But she is now devastated with the news of Sushant Singh Rajput's sudden demise, like the rest of the nation. She hoped to way up someday and hear that it was a fake news. What's worse- she lost two friends to mental health problems- Sushant and Kushal Punjabi.

Talking to TOI, she said, "I knew Sushant Singh Rajput personally and I have been fortunate to have spent time with him. Everyday when I wake up I want someone to tell me that his death news is fake, a rumour. Sushant was a very intelligent, humble, witty, grounded person. He always made you feel that you are a part of his family. He was so warm and real. There are so many theories going around and I just want all these theories to come to an end. I urge everyone to let the family mourn. The family doesn't even know what went wrong. Don't create stories everyday. Sushant deserves that respect, he deserves that love, let's give him that and tell his soul whatever your decision was, we still love you."

Talking about losing both him and Kushal within such a short period, she quipped, "I have a staff member who knows Sushant's staff and they always say that Sushant would treat his staff with love. Just think what his family must be going through. I don't think I will ever be able to come to terms with the fact that he is no more. I was hurt when Kushal Punjabi passed away. I was more close to him. I refused to believe that he is no more. I tried a lot, I cried, got angry about the news and I have reached a point where I still can't believe it. He passed away in December and I still can't accept it. Same is with Sushant, I refuse to believe that he passed away."

She also opened up about the nepotism debate and said that she does not find it wrong if someone lands their first film because of the hardwork of their parents. She feels that one needs to prove themselves to sustain in the industry and gave Ekta Kapoor's example who is now called the TV czarina and isn't known as Jeetendra's daughter alone! She added, "The only thing I find logical and right in this entire debate is that if the industry is snatching away a talented outsider's opportunity for a star kid, then that is wrong. Today, if I manage to open a production house or an agency I will definitely give a chance to an outsider, but if I come across a talented star kid I will also give him an opportunity. If you make an actor feel that he is an outsider then that is wrong and it should definitely change. But it is wrong to ask why the star kids are getting chances. Eventually, the winner is an actor who is talented and has a good run at the box office. I respect the emotions of the fans because I am also close to him, but they have to draw the line and ask themselves who they are angry with."
