Sushant Felt Someone Was Targeting His Career?
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has raised several questions as to why the 34-year-old actor decided to end his life. On social media fingers are being pointed at the Bollywood biggies calling out people who practice of nepotism and discriminates against the outsiders. But according to a recent report the late actor was also disturbed due to what was being written about him in the media especially since he was already battling depression.
While stars Like Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Salman Khan and several others are being called out on social media a Bandra police officer has been quoted in a Mid Day report on the condition of anonymity and has stated that some media reports and social media posts made Sushant feel his professional image was being tarnished projecting him as a ‘womaniser, drug addict and an irresponsible person’.
These claims are said to have been made by some of the late actor’s close friends during the investigation. The police officer is also quoted to have said that since Sushant was already depressed these reports disturbed him further.
The officer said that while angles of professional rivalry are being looked into, police will also look into any deliberate attempts made at defaming the actor through such media coverage. Statements of people who work for such media portals will also be recorded.
Meanwhile, on Saturday Yash Raj Films casting director Shanoo Sharma was seen at the Bandra police station to record her statement and Rhea Charkaborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty has also recorded his statement according to recent reports. Sushant’s Dil Bechara co-star Sanjana Sanghi has also been summoned.
