Ranbir Kapoor And Sanjay Dutt To Shoot For Shamshera?
Bollywood is getting back into business taking ample time to plan and taking the necessary precautions before returning on sets. Looks, like Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, might be first of the few actors resuming work for their upcoming film Shamshera.
The dacoit drama which was initially scheduled for a June 2020 release has just four days of patchwork left according to a source quoted by a Mid-Day report and Aditya Chopra and director Karan Malhotra are keen on getting the project wrapped up in Yash Raj Studios with a limited crew.
The principal shoot was done before the lockdown and during these months the makers have been busy with the post-production work. Dates for the shoot have not yet been decided and the makers have put in a request with Producers’ Guild of India and the Federation of The Western India Cine Employees to resume shoot in compliance with the government guidelines.
Shamshera is a story of a dacoit tribe in the 1800s who fought for their independence against the British. Ranbir Kapoor might be seen in a double role, as Shamshera and his father while Vaani Kapoor will reportedly play a dancer. Sanjay Dutt plays the villain in the film.
