Bigg Boss 13: Mahira Sharma Gets Candid About Paras, Akanksha’s Break-Up; Says ‘It’s Wrong To Blame Me’

Bigg Boss 13 contestant Mahira Sharma was heartbroken when she did not make it to the top 6. However, she managed to win many hearts during her stay in the BB13 house with her stylish outfits and beautiful smile. All through the season, Mahira tried her best to emerge as an independent player in the reality show. But the highlight of her journey will always be her beautiful friendship with housemate Paras Chhabra and the moments they spent together.

Well, because of her closeness to Paras, Mahira has often been blamed to be the reason behind his break-up with ex-girlfriend Akanksha Puri. In a recent chat with TOI, the actress opened up about the same and shared, “I wanted to make one thing very clear that had I been the reason behind Paras and Akanksha Puri's breakup I would have been his girlfriend today. I am a very straightforward person when it comes to relationships whether it is with friends or a partner. I was very clear that he was already involved with someone and being a girl I can respect another girl's feelings. My mother never asked me to maintain a distance in some demeaning way. She trusts me all she meant was that our closeness was portrayed in a wrong way in the outside world. Also, agar main nahi hoti toh koi aur hota aaj Paras ke saath jisko pyaar bhi hogaya tha.... woh toh accha hai main thi toh Paras aaj relationship mein nahi hai. I feel it is very wrong to blame me for their breakup.”

Interestingly, in one of the episodes Sidharth Shukla had teased Mahira about a mark on her neck, calling it a ‘love bite’. After watching the episode, Akanksha had stated: ‘Friends don't give each other love bites.’ Reacting to the same, Mahira said, “I don't know when Akanksha saw a love bite on my body. There was an incident when Sidharth was teasing me and we were having fun. I had an allergy and he joked saying that I had a love bite on my neck. I even tried to stop him but he carried on with his joke. I feel it's ok when friends pull each other's leg or joke. But I always knew that people who are watching outside will assume things and will actually feel that I had got a love bite. And see this became an issue of Paras kissing me or I kissing him. I always felt very comfortable with him and he never gave me any wrong vibes. I considered him as my family, but I always stopped him. I even kissed Shefali and Rashami and they also kissed me back but nobody made an issue out of it as they girls.”

Mahira went on to reveal what Paras had shared with her after Salman Khan had slammed him for disrespecting Akanksha. She stated, “I trust Paras and I share that bond with him. I know him in and out because he had shared with me what conversation he had with Akanksha before coming inside Bigg Boss 13 after the weekend ka vaar episode where Salman sir had bashed him. He didn't tell her that he will go inside and flirt with girls. Who talks to his girlfriend like this and which girlfriend will allow his partner to do such things. I will never allow my boyfriend. He had said that if he likes someone in the house, he will take that relationship ahead as things were not going steady between Akanksha and Paras. This is what Paras had told me. He never planned such things.”

Well, Paras is currently busy looking for a suitable life partner with the channel’s new show Mujhse Shaadi Karoge. However, he has stated that he will continue his friendship with Mahira forever.
