Ayushmann Khurrana Says NO To Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila Biopic?

Imitiaz Ali’s tentatively titled, Aaj Kal is all set for release. The film stars Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles and it is also a remake of Imtiaz’s Love Aaj Kal which had Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles.

And now, the director is all geared up for his next. Well, it is a biopic on Punjabi folk singer Amar Singh Chamkila. Earlier it was reported that Imtiaz was looking at Kartik Aaryan and Ayushmann Khurrana for the lead roles but now if media reports are to be believed, Ayushmann Khurrana has refused to be part of the film.

According to a Koimoi report, Ayushmann Khurrana has turned down the film. The actor, who had a great 2019 with his back-to-back hit films such as Bala, Dream Girl, is now looking to spend some time with his family, which is why he won’t be a part of the film. The report also stated that when Ayushmann was asked by Imtiaz about the film, he politely turned it down because he plans on taking four months hiatus from work after the release of his films.

Well, we are sure, Ayushmann Khhurrana can now start taking liberties with his work because he has a lot on his platter. There are some very interesting line ups of the actor this year. The actor will next be seen in a film based on a homosexual love story Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The film is scheduled to release on 21^st February ’20. Khurrana will also be seen in the Shoojit Sircar directorial Gulaabo Sitabo which also has Amitabh Bachchan in a prominent role. The film is slated to release in April ’20.
