A few days ago, there were reports in the media about how Star Plus’ Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala that has TV actors Mohit Malik and Aakriti Sharma is going ahead with the leap and consequently Mohit will go out of the show. The show was recently shifted to the 6:30 pm slot to make way for Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka. Mohit had then confirmed with a publication that he was quitting the show. The report had quoted Mohit as saying, “But I do not want to play a father to grown-up girls because I don’t think it will look convincing.”

However, according to a Spotboye report, Star Plus has taken a call of not going ahead with the leap. The report further states that the channel in question auditioned several girls to play Mohit's daughters and several men to play an elderly Mohit- but somehow, they didn't zero down on anybody, and meanwhile, a few meetings took place alongside and a decision was taken that 'Let's just forget the leap completely'.

The story further quotes Mohit as saying, “Your news is true." And that the leap is not happening.

It was just up until this morning that the idea of the leap was suddenly scrapped. The report further states, the show is now being shifted to the 7 pm slot from 23rd December.
